I have been on a following spree here lately so I figured IF they check out my blog they can see this little run down about me:

• I recently turned 36
• Single mom
• Micah has been 5 years old for about a month now
• I am the awesomest funniest person you will ever know
• There is absolutely no involvement from the other parent. His choice.
• No I do not receive child support either. Due to some pretty funky rules in my state and their utter lack of being able to serve papers to someone who lived in the same place for the 2 years while papers were supposed to be served. True story.
• Although the above statement is given here as fact, I actually haven’t even thought about child support in a couple of years. So what I am saying is, no it doesn’t bother me.
• Also background wise, his other parent’s side of the family is also not involved in my son’s life either. Their choice.
• Can you believe I was in a 4 year relationship with the other person and knew their family quite well? Our relationship ended when I was 5 mos pregnant. His choice.
• I live with my parents. No, I do not make enough money to live on my own. 900$ for a 1 bdrm apt is the going rate in my area.
• Yes I am poor. No I am not on welfare or any other assistance.
• Not that I am against it, but the money I do make covers our food and expenses and I live with my parents so I do not have utility bills or rent to pay. I prefer to let other people struggling get what they can get. I do not have the mentality to take all I can get just because I would qualify.
• I was recently laid off though and that sucks.
• I have a few things in the works but prefer to not talk about them until they are sure things.
• I love to read and watch a crap ton of kids movies.
• I adore Hello Kitty and long walks on the beach.
• Just kidding, I don’t even live near the beach!

So that’s just a short-ish about me section. Obviously I am an enigma wrapped in rainbow and sprinkled with stardust. Another mom out there with her own story to tell.
